Hey all
I'be just moved to a house that's across the road from lake Illawarra. I see all the windsurfers out and I hear it's a good place for it. I've done afair bit of surfing but I'm a terrible sailor. Does anyone know of somewhere near by to get lessons so I can try the sport out before forking out large amounts of cash for a windsurfing rig.
Anything at the yacht club maybe?
Thanks for your help

What suburb are you in? The best bet would be to contact the Illawarra Yacht Club shop or the club itself. They are a friendly bunch there.

Hey Spud,

good place to be if you want to learn windsurfing!

the Illawarra Yacht Club Windsurfers meet most Saturdays through Summer - just broken up for the xmas break and wont be back till Jan 18th. there is some good learning gear available and free advice so it would be worthwhile coming down. There are some beginners coming down reguarly too, and sailors at all levels.

There is a Illawarra Facebook page which reguarly posts stuff for the club and windsurfing in the area

hopefully see you soon!

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll pop down the yacht club and have a chat with them down there. Will swing past one sat after the break too.
