I'm sure Kyeemagh is fine, it's at least 1km away. Right?

Right. Because Cooks River is soooooooo clean.

From Wikipedia: "Water quality testing conducted by the Water Research Centre found quantities of pharmaceutical and industrial chemicals at levels similar to untreated sewage.[2] A very old and broken sewerage system has been blamed for the contaminants which included soaps, insecticides, caffeine and anticonvulsants.[2]"

Clever - I thought the subject title related to how we all coped in NSW's heat on Friday...

http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-national/five-people-treated-at-sydney-orica-site-20130121-2d2fo.html

Five people have been treated for dizziness, vomiting and nausea at an Orica site in Sydney's southwest. A NSW Ambulance spokesperson confirmed five people had been treated for a range of symptoms.

An internal investigation has been launched and and the NSW Environment Protection Authority has been notified.

The incident comes as (the) EPA will meet with Orica this week to address community concerns about its Port Botany facility. The government is being urged to launch an investigation into whether land around the Port Botany plant is contaminated with mercury.

Soaps: meh.
Insecticides: I've only two legs.
Caffeine: meh.
Anticonvulsants: Helps with the above.

I must say though I always felt a bit woozy the day after sailing there. Really. I attributed it to sucking in all the aviation fuel.
I prefer sailing about 1km downwind for that reason.
