there are two caravan parks that I have seen around there. There is one in Sandy Point itself near the shop, and there is one on the eastern side of Shallow Inlet (where you sail). I am not sure if the one to the east would be good as you would either need to launch from there or drive a long way around. The one in Sandy Point is only a few minutes drive from where you sail.

thank dale i checked the one out at sandypoint and they said there wont be a problem in feb, $30 a night unpowered
Keef, there is also the Fish Creek hotel/motel. I can't remember what the rates were there, but it is quite cheap. The motel rooms are pretty basic, but very handy to the hotel and restaurant.
It might be okay for an occasional visit to civilization :)
Keef, I have stayed here and it was'nt too bad, also has a beach and stuff for kids to do. There is still a little drive to SP

keef take the one in Sandy point,Venus Bay is a 30min drive each way. Sandt point has a main beach for surf and if theres no wind ,Wilsons Prom,s 40 min down the road.
