i have recently got a mistral 55 speedboard
and are looking for a suitable weed fin.
will prob be used with a sail range around 6.2_7.0. or so
and in reasonable shallow and weedy areas. cheers ratz
Rat, I reckon your Vector 25 should work with your 6.2, but 27 would be better for your 7m. I use a Choco 30ws with my CA52 and 6 and 7m sails when it's choppy and it feels pretty comfortable
I too recently got a Mistral 95 Litre 'speed' board. I have tried various fins in the shallow waters at Budgewoi Lake my conclusions are: When it is really shallow (less than 25cm deep) I use an 18cm Delta Slalom, when it is a little deeper and therefore slightly choppier I use a 20cm Lessacher Duo Carbon 55 deg weed fin and when it is really deep (over 50cm) I use a 25cm Vector Speed Weed.
I try to use a 6.3 on this board, but often use a 7.0 with the same fin.
18cm kestral would be the best way to go , contact me and can get one organised ,or i still have some delta fins on special
Slowboat uses his speedweed 23cm on the Mistral speed 55 and has done high 43kts in peel estuary. I use a pepeweed 22/48 on my mistral speed 55 which has done 41kts in the peel estuary but these are not commercially available.

Tribal weedspeed and superweed. I'm very happy with my weedspeeds. I'll go superweed when I visit Albany again.
Morts in Albany uses these as well as deltas. Not on Mistral speed tho.
