EDIT - North West Is. Just hope the Booby bird sh1t doesn't eat through your monofilm. I think barges go from Yeppoon and Gladstone.

you're right.
never really gets that strong but has SE - ESE winds. best time seems to be cyclone season and i'm not going there in cyclone season.
