ibrought a mxt extension a couple of years ago, only used it a couple of times and gave up because the pin would let go and detach the rig from the board,it's not easy trying attach a deep pocket race sail to a board full of water
so i brought a new cuplast week grrrrrrrr, it was the same as the original grrrrrrr, week as pizz grrrrrrrrr, the problem is the cup will crack, when you loose the rig or it lays over it puts pressure on the pin and let's go
in the pic you can see the diameter of the new cup on the left, and the old one on the right , the right is oval, the other problem i found is the pin,either the pin i'm useing is under or the cup is over,i had to wrap the pin with 2 layers of tape on the pin to make a tight fit on the new cup and mite i say that i haven't used the cup yet grrrrrrrrrrrrr
Keef, you might have to bite the bullet and buy the MXT base too. I have been using this combination and have had no problems at all.
Its a bit of a shame that NP don't make the UXT and the XT extensions with the same pulleys as the MXT has. Its nice for rigging a little bit quicker.
