Hard to make that top ten, even harder when you live in an area when the wind doesn't co-operate

Good Job Izaac!!

Even harder to make the top 4 even when you do live somewhere that the wind cooperates. Competition seems to get more intense by the month. Positions shifting to the dying minutes of the final day!

By luck of where I live I am in a top 4 team (at least # 4 at the moment.)

I am happy to be in a team with several people assisting each other to get better. The table is fun to watch and I do think about how we (as a team) can improve on the position however the real winner from this has been me. My sailing has improved significantly meaning I have more fun on the water and I am friends with several people I wold not otherwise have got to know. I sail now more often than I have in my 25+ years in the sport and it is great.
This is not a criticism of how others see the GTC, just my ramblings on what I have got out of it

p.s. Thanks to Nebbian who in the background makes this happen for all of us.

My motto is "the person who has the most fun wins"

how about a fun category for each session - then we can all be winners.

One thought I have had to even things up would be a system like golf handicaps, (perhaps as a parrallel scoring system as the current one is working so well).

I dont know the mechanics of golf handicap calculations but I know it gets "lower" as you play more and get better scores.

I would hope that we all have fun everytime we sail, and this GPS stuff just gives us more incentive to sail with more people more often, the other stuff like rankings is just the icing on the Fun Cake!!!!

I follow your lead, my captain
I have to say that we are blessed with huge amounts of parking. Without that us folks living out of trailers would be walking long distances!
