Is there any special programs needed to view the data on the gt-31. All I can find is the 14 max speeds and 10 top averages. What other stuff can I expect to see. Not too computer savvy so keep it in laymans terms. Cheers
There are 3 really good pieces of software out there, downloadable trials for 30 days, then a one-time-only expense.
(from www.gps-speedsurfing.com)
GPS Action Replay (www.gpsactionreplay.com)
GPS Results (www.gps-speed.com)
Real Speed (www.intellimass.com)
Personally I use GPSResults, but I think that most of you Aussies are using Real Speed if I am not mistaken? Anywho, check them all out and see which one of the layouts you like the best :)
Also, you are using a SD-card with your GT-31 right, getting the data through a card-reader? If not this is the way to go, grabbing data through the cable will only get you data from the build-in memory on the GT-31, you want the stuff from the SD-card.
Hope this helps :)
If I want to fully analyse the results, I use Realspeed. I've also used GPSResults.
My website, www.ka72.com, does speed analysis of the files to give you your scores for competitions, and it does google earth overlaying of the track (and generates a .kml file you can download) but it doesn't yet do the kind of line-by-line analysis that the other packages can do. (On the other hand, it's free.)
