I know this has probably been covered, but I cant find it.
In the settings menu there is an entry DOP
I assume this is something to do with doppler.
I was fiddling around with the unit and I think I changed that setting and cant remember what it was originally 
Can someone tell me what that setting is supposed to be.
ZERO, but decrepit fiddled and set his at 1, I think, made no differance.

It has nothing to do with Doppler, "DOP" means Dilution Of Precision which is a measure of the accuracy level of the gps reception. If you set it to "1" the unit will only record when the DOP is 1 and filter out the other data. Set it at "0" and leave it alone, same with the "Function" setting, make sure it is on "Navigation". I remember one sailor who changed it and spat the dummy when he got some unusual results when he set it on "Sports" without knowing what he was doing.
