Hope this works. Had a great time last night playing with Movie maker, me and the young un' mucked around with music, titles etc.
Its just my first go and its probably too long but trying to show what Canton is like to sail. Not doing full distance runs just mucking around and using the helmet cam for the first time.
Hope you enjoy and if you dont like Gopro dont watch.
Nice, been a long time since I had a good sail at Canton forgot how flat it is, but do not miss that weed or the mud that is on the bottom out in the deeper part of the lake
Put it on Vimeo they do not block it for music copyright stuff
Larko, I have just bought a GoPro last month I see you lens was fogging up towards the end I tried opening the case before going out to acclimatize & I have cut some chamois up & slipped a couple of pieces down the side of the camera this has worked very well for me.
Your video was great would have like to see some gybes but.
Glynn
Thanks Glynn, appreciate your feedback. I figured the vid was a little long so I just did footage of the runs. Ive got some stuff from other days with some OK gybes so might work on that.
Regarding the fogging, I actually bought a pack of the anti-fogging things but they dont seem to work very well. Find its fogging up by the end of a sail. I keep forgetting to open the case before I launch so will try & remember.
Thanks Leo.
Ill give it a go Brian.
Usually the case sits in the car, I put the camera in and then attach to boom, board whatever. So both camera and case are normal temp. It has no fogging for ages then all of a sudden it fogs up. Water and air temp are both pretty warm so not sure why it happens even with moisture strips.
Might even get to put into practise this weekend although now Huey will erase all the green arrows ![]()
Larko I got my Pro before the strips were released and had poop loads of trouble with fogging, nearly smashed it with frustration. But now with the strips never ever a problem, I heat (dry) 3 of them in the oven and then straight into housing with camera, works for me ![]()
