Hey Keef, is it a custom or modified production board?

Looks FAST whatever it is.

kimba its a production, originally 48 wide so when routed it still has a good bit of width and volume at the mast track area , the fin has a 47deg rake and forward boxed so has a good bit of surface area and absolutely hoots to windward for a weed speed fin

My question is, how does it gybe?
The board I made like that is horrible to gybe, but I started the cutouts a lot further forward, I keep meaning to bring the cutouts back to the front foot strap and see if that improves things.

mike I haven't ridden the board, Arky has and he thought the board would be a handful in chop but was a bit surprised , as far as alex goes I cant get the board off him, I think he did say he could feel the outer rail catching going to windward but he was really pushing it , the wake looks nice and narrow and clean so should be great in really flat stuff
sanctuary point isn't the best place to test a flat narrow board because 95%of the time your sailing good size chop with a really short spat in the weeds , its a credit to Alex because he looks so much in control and is also getting some huge air time
the answer to your is this board is really chunky in the mast track area ,so the board is flattening out and has floatation at the wide section of the cutout in the jibe , ill get muddskipper to give it a test run tomorrow , that's if he can get it off Alex

Hahaha, don't like my chances. Maybe after I crack out some big speeds on the slalom board I can steal it off him, I'll need a bit more wind than Alex though seeing as I'm probably 40kg heavier. Should have my new fin there to. How long before epoxy is fully hardened 18hrs?

The board goes great in chop.I didn't go up to the smooth water of the weed beds while riding it .My fastest run of the day was in the chop with that board and was faster than the CA55 I rode in the smooth water.I will try it in the smooth water tomorrow.

You keep off that board Mudwrecker !
Everyone else packs their windsurfing gear in their car when they have finished sailing for the day, yours goes in the bin.

What luck ! Lucky if it breaks near the shore so he doesn't have to swim so far to the bin

jumping the board is the easy part - its the landing thats the issue with those deltas!

roar the fin is a 18cm weed speed 47deg , its the top middle fin , nice thick chunky base and thinner for the last 1/3rd, you cant use deltas at sanctuary point because of the chop, its like sailing primbee in a southerly where your sailing out into the chop and only a a squirt in at the shallows on the way back

decrepit the wide base fin is yours before I built the leading edge up
