Check this previous thread I started on F-Hot fins:

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Review/F-Hot-slalom-fins/

Since then, Steve Cook has improved the lay up. PWA slalom Ross Williams has been developing the new lay up for F-Hot's Steve Cook. The lay up is now spot on and many say its as good as the iconic Z-fin. The fins choice is now S1 (stiff), S2 (medium) and S3 (soft). All fins are now made with 5 degrees rake (on the trailing edge). They are working very nicely on all Slalom boards.

Iv'e never tried Sonntag fins, but they have a great reputation and Alexandra & Joerg at Sonntage=Fins have a great line up of fins. One of the many Dutch testers was Erik Loots, and Zara Davies got her world title on the GPS5 wide base fin. If you search the Dutch sites, you should find some stuff on them, but here's some stuff to get by on:

Hi there,
I'm owning both Sontag and F-Hot fins but can't compare because I've just received my f-hot fins last Monday.
About my sonntag fins, I own Sl-P and Sl-S in 38&36cm and do prefer the Sl-P over the Sl-S. the fin is offering very good control and is quite fast. Only downside is that the fin presses the nose of the board down which can be compensated with the mast foot more in the back. Also the sonntag fins needs to be treated carefully because the tip is quite fragile, at least compared to my hurricane fins. If you are looking for a larger fin, it might be worth talking to Joerg about his new upcoming fin, which you can also see in an interview with Peter volwater at the pwa in Korea.

The only thing I can say about the F-Hot fins is that they look great and the communication is very quick, which seems to be very difficult for fin manufacturers. Also payment is easy with PayPal.
The downside is that you'll have to wait for 2 month+, not sure about sonntag fins.

Markaru,
Not sure how much they are right now but when I bought mine more than two years ago, they didn't cost that much. Joerg usually calculate in Euro so it is difficult to say how much it would be in which ever dollar. (AUS/US)
The F-Hot are gaining quickly popularity thanks to the good reviews and online marketing. Hence the prices go up, the price I saw in a Dutch forum beginning of the year where already outdated when I bought my fins. Just drop Joerg an email, asking costs comes for free.
What kind if surfing do you want to do? If you are looking for friendly blasting with your friends, ai can recommend you the Sonntag fins for sure because they are easy on the legs and the Sl-P offer good speed on all courses.
As soon as I tried my F-Hot fins, I'll try to compare them but now we do have rainy season...

What is the vertical looking line running parallel to the trailing edge ? Cloth lay up maybe ?

it's a lightly sanded trailing edge as opposed to the polished leading edge and foil to supposedly minimise detachment (turbulence) at trailing edge.
