Hi grich,
You may not even need to download the canmore program; get some data on the canmore (walk around, ride bike, sail if there is wind) and plug it in. Pull up the site KA72 and upload the file from the canmore (under activities).
Other info tips can be found here: boardsurfr.blogspot.com/2014/07/getting-started-with-canmore-gp-102-gps.html
N.B. Make sure you eject the canmore properly and be quick to remove it when the icon disappears! This can otherwise lead to further problems.
Hope this helps
I found this site really user friendly for when I have done the same: www.fitfiletools.com/#/combiner#view
already on that site but yesterday i didnt stop my log and set a pb of 100 klm an hour for a sailboard in the back of a toyota van. i would like to down load to the canmore program to anerlize the sailing but it keeps coming up that it is not set up.i filled in all the info spots i can find but it wont down load
You can use GPS Action Replay to clean up the track. The current version has a bug when you try to delete, so go to where you stopped sailing, click on "track toolbox", then choose "split tracks". You'll then get separate results for the two parts. You can also select the driving track and choose "delete tracks".
You can do something similar using the "Delete points" button in GPSResults. I find GPSAR Pro a bit easier to use for such stuff, but I know others prefer GPSResults. Both programs give you a trial if you have never used them before. GPSResults has the added advantage that it can read the Canmore .fit files directly; for GPSAR Pro, you need to convert the fit files to another format (e.g. gpx) first with GPSBabel.
I use gps results to cut my files if needed. Use the "set timelimits" tool in "extras"
once done, ctrl+ s will save the track.
