As I said it's all been tried before, I guess it's not to say what has been tried wont work again in a different combination of gear.

How awesome are those wings though [}:)]

It's really worth reading the whole series, gives a good insight to the early days of windsurfing particularly the early speed comps.

Also if you want some good speed tips the section on the Maui Sails site has a section under Ask Barry Spanier all to do with speed.
Lots of informative stuff on there.
