In 2008 it was a hi-money project in Sydney, aiming at the WR.
WHAT HAPPENED TO IT?

Sail rocket came out and went 65kts with out of the box thinking and a revolutionary design and they then realised they had no chance of matching it speed wise? Or it didn't work?

Heard it crashed on trials in Sydney and was having minor repairs. ...wonder if it is in a shed somewhere?

Didn't pan out as they hoped. Sydney not the best for trials and I imagine the GFC dried up funds. Remember even Sailrocket initally struggled to get over 30 requiring a redesign and that was after promising small scale.
The AC boats have demonstrated even with the best sailors in the world and almost unlimited funds you have to work out bugs with small scale prototypes.
I only read media reports but got the impression WOT went staight from design board to full scale.
