Looks like our WA brethren wasted no time this month in posting some scores:http://gpsteamchallenge.com.au/showsession.php?date=2007-07-01&team=2
That's some impressive speed, and from the sounds of it the conditions were almost perfect for some record attempts.
Well done Hardie and Elmo for posting some PB's! Moreton Bay mob will have a tough time matching those numbers, new scoring system and everything [}:)]
Got destroyed in a 50 knot gust, wind picked me up and slammed me on my arze, and there was a complete white out for 10 mins or more, couldn't see more than a coupla metres, windiest I've ever sailed in, Wind = 1 Harde = Nil![]()
But the PB's were nice![]()
Great start guys, We have certainly got some work to do no rest at all. Did you break anything Hardie besides your ego mate

It wasn't as good as it looked either you'd pick up a good gust then come blasting out of it into quite sizeable holes, I know I had to do some major chinups on the boom to save falling into the water when it happened.
Everybody got handed a bit of whoopass today.
Myself at the beginning of the front when it went 30-40 with a 6.2 RS4 up Nice big wheelie then cartwheeling catapult.
The worst was when I changed down just connected the SX XS to my 4.9m sail and this white wall comes in at just shy of 50knots. The rain came in horizontal and hard, boards and sails laying down were launched and cartwheeled over the shore. We just had to sit it out holding down the gear for about 15mins.
It was most concerning thinking about the boys in the water, who all thankfully came back unscathed.
It was a shame the wind direction changed so drastically (90 deg) from the ideal direction as the stronger breezes were what we were waiting for all morning.
Still it was a great day out, congrats to the Hardieman on his PB's![]()
Nice going Hardman on a swag of PBs!! Well done to the father of the GPS SC!
Good going MM too - whooped us SRMs!
Sounds like things were a bit more nasty down your way.
30 days to go!
Tim did alright for your mob today having a play with some unfamiliar gear still managed 36+ on the dial![]()
Heard he had the 07 missile S in his arsenal - hope to see his post soon Elmo! Should boost our numbers - the Swan was nasty! Did you sail the usual place? Was very W and NW on Swan!
