Sue, I moved to W10, and found it at times, difficult to work with. Some web pages via W10 "wont" open and you have to navigate the page, to have those that wont open, open in explorer Such a dumb idea.
In the end I got fed up with it, and went back to W7

No problems with Win 10 and Google Chrome web browser for KA72.com. Gpsresults V6 works with no problems as well.
I much prefer Win 10 over Win 8.

I work in IT and my motto is generally "don't fix(or change) that which isn't broken".

If your current OS is working there is nothing W10 does that would motivate me to recommend it to people. When you consider all the possible issues you might have, potential downtime, lost productivity etc, especially bearing in mind the Donald Rumsfeld "It's the unknown unknowns you have to worry about" and that most people have no backup strategy, there is very little to warrant an OS upgrade.

That's my 2 cents :)

I like the idea of the lazy do nothing option.. Ihave a paid theme for my website and the first time I upgraded to the new version it broke my website and took me 3 weeks to fix it all plus it didn't give a very good impression while it wasstuffed..

Well all PC users better start getting familiar with WIN10 because soon all new PCs won't support anything prior. If you're on XP, Vista or WIN7 then you have quite a learning curve... you can't avoid the inevitable so might as well get started now.

"Windows 10 will be the only supported Windows platform on Intel's upcoming 'Kaby Lake' silicon, Qualcomm's upcoming '8996' silicon, and AMD's upcoming 'Bristol Ridge' silicon." SOURCE: www.theverge.com/2016/1/16/10780876/microsoft-windows-support-policy-new-processors-skylake

Also, WIN10 is only free for the first year, so you might as well upgrade now, unless you're happy to pay for it later.
WIN8 was a piece of cr@p... worse than Vista. I highly recommend upgrading from WIN8.

Windows always seems to have alternate crap/good versions.

Win10 - Good
Win8 - Crap
Win7 - Good
Windows Vista - Crap
Windows XP - Good
Windows ME - Crap
Windows 98 - Good
Windows 95 - Crap
Windows 3.11 - Good

Take my advice, and avoid Windows 11 like the plague.

So true. It seems to take them every second iteration to get it right. You'd kind of expect better from a powerhouse like MS. I still love XP and W2K was great too.

I went to W10 from W7. It deleted my bluetooth driver & would not connect to my home wifi. It may have had an issue with my router but 2 computer gurus could not say what the problem was. I had to use my phone as wifi hotspot. W10 was fine with KA72 & GPSTC but after an update yesterday it caused all wifi capacity to disappear. I liked W10 because it starts up very quickly. I gave up this morning & returned to W7. The good news is that W10 has an option to revert to old system within 1 month. reverting took 10 mins, worked fine & I am now happily back on W7 with my wifi restored. Pity it takes so long to start.

Hey Bruce. I suspect it could be a driver incompatibility issue with your network adapter (WiFi). I had some issues after upgrading to WIN10 with drivers that caused odd behavior. One of the drivers was my touch pad and fingerprint reader. I rebuilt the laptop and it all kept happening. Took me a few days to figure it out. I've read a lot of other people having issues with incompatible WIN10 hardware drivers.

Does anyone have a solution for the mouse cursor delay on w10. Done the task manager (revert back to w7 for pointing device) and settings turned off delay quick fixes and still have a delay. I know it's off topic but here's to hoping

What exactly is happening with the cursor? Have you tried updating your drivers?

I use Mac and don't have any drama's with Ka 72. Sometimes a bit slow and I would have to wait easy 5+ minutes. Now ill change server which will usually load a lot quicker. I use Safari mostly then Firefox or google chrome. Don't know if its just a coincidence but usually loads data straight away. I think windows needs a defrag and disk cleanup every so often to stop lag as well. Haven't used windows pc for a while now and would recommend apple to anyone updating. Found the transition pretty simple and I'm a Roofer and have a bad drug habit called GPSTC haa and XXXX gold

Can't beat a mac for reliability and ease of use. Bought my misses a Mac Book Air and she loves it. She's always been a PC user so it took a few weeks to get her head around it, but now she loves it and wouldn't go back. Best part is I don't have to worry about fixing it, removing trojan crap etc. Really good laptop.

I wouldn't get too concerned, Mick. It's one, unverified opinion by some random blogger who refers to "reports" but never provides a reference to said report(s). I think that's why Dylan has dropped a wink on the end of the post. As a PC user and an IT professional with tertiary qualifications I still think Macs are better for every day users. Sure there's viruses for and vulnerabilities in OSX, but it's still IMO a far more stable platform than a PC ever will be.
