Wow I am addicted to this now - just be nice to break the 30 and beyond -hopefully very soon after being introduced to Hardies Run (absolutely top spot). Having not windsurfed for several years and getting back into it a couple of months ago I was wondering how long it would take to get skills, confidence and fitness back (and significantly improve upon).

Well I am gradually getting there, but really surprised and pleased at how much focussing and thinking about the different speed divisions is helping me to improve. Each division has aspects that makes you think about not only speed, but gybing, downwind sailing, getting to windward again, waterstarting, board setup (comfortable balanced setup as well as powered sailing) and fitness. The later is one aspect I definitely need to work on - but that will come with the sailing.

I can't more highly recommend anyone wanting to improve their sailing to get a GPS, and join a team. The really great thing about the team competition is that it suits all sailors (from intermediate to top level) - there is so much to learn (suppose you never stop in WS) and so many great people wanting to help you out.
