Phil,
Gestalt is starting to make plans for next year and all I know is that it'll be in March again. Don't forget to bring the Black Death with you again next year.

hey guys,

yep burrum is in the planning and as sausage has rightly said we are going for a march event again this year.

the hold up on announcing the date is that the maritime safety application can only be put in 3 months prior to the event and they won't accept earlier application. so in the next few weeks i will officiailly announce the exact date and let everyone know so people can make arrangements to be there.

again this year we will have the barge and support as last year.

we are also changing the event name to

"Burrum Wind Fest".

plus we are looking at some form of giant slalom type race to be held at high tide on one of the days. the race will need additional approvals with the authorities so fingers crossed it happens.

hoping for a bumper event this year.

I gather that's because of the stories told after the day's sailing.

also the e

I'll be happy with just another bumper event Justin but if you're giving drugs away for free then who knows. Never had an 'E' before - sailing will be very interesting whilst sucking on a lolly pop and listening to some techno.

lol, damn cut and paste function attached to my keyboard seems to be faulty.

the name change was voted on by the organisers as we felt the event needed a name that

a. the media could actually pronounce

b. allowed flexibility down the track to include other fun activites. and still have the name relevant

c. to actually give burrum heads some credit as the venue.

d. to mimic the wind some sailors have after sailing all day.

Justin, thanks look forward to locking in the dates with work before I get shanghai out of it. As an employee of MSQ I feel for you having to put up with that beauricratic cr@p.

Firie, maybe call in for a FNQ planning stategy meeting (OK rum-fest), on the way down

Sausage, the blackdeath has recently had its third set of mods so I'm keen to give it a run before sailing it in the "vintage" division at Burrum
