Why have you stared a new thread? You old thread said it all.

The only approved watch is the GW60. And as mentioned has it's problems.
If you really have to have cheap, it's either 2nd hand or make your own.

Or get in line for a Mini Motion (not too long to wait) or a Motion LCD ( a LONG time to wait)

if you decide to go with a GW60 and you want it to last, there's a few things to be aware of.
Biggest ones are the buttons, when pressed they "vent", in other words the watch is no longer water proof. And if the watch is colder than last time you pressed a button, it will "suck". The buttons are also set in wells that can collect water, so you need to blow the water out of them before pressing buttons. The unfortunate thing about this is, you can't start the hour countdown on the water, neither can you adjust the speed genie to switch between alpha and speed mode on the water.

The connection tabs need to be kept clean, the advice is to rinse in fresh water after a salt water sail.
I've no idea about the straps, mine is still good after 4 years, other's have failed within months. I think there was a very bad batch a few years ago, I've seen no data on recent failures. so that problem may have gone away

Yes, I guess it is if you don't press any buttons, but I wouldn't want to test it.
