It's even scarier watching the whitecaps being ripped apart by 35 knot gusts, and seeing Pierre and Vando picking the bugs out of their teeth after yet another ball-tearing run...

Those guys are NUTS!!!

Haircut got a couple of runs on film so you might be able to see what it was like.

Oh, and I beat my 2sec PB by 2 knots

Congrats to the QLD'ers. A fine effort indeed, and even sweeter when there's some PB's in the mix.

This will just make the rest of us try a little harder!

Good work.

howdy!

Got most of the day on the headcam and have just been through it all. Lots of it was with people a little too far away from me and annoying blobs of water right in the middle of the lens even with using rainex but still got some good stuff! That was the windiest day of the year for me....was sooooo good and terrific to see so many windsurfers out on a weekday i counted 17 at once and at least 25 throughout the day, and everyone trying new tricks and enjoying themselves

i'll get something up ASAP, probably friday morning

Well done Vando and Pierre! I'm lucky to drive my car at 40 knots speed let alone sail it.

Bit of artistic licence there Vando, you're not quite there yet [}:)]

Lol who am I kidding, 32 knots felt like ice skating on an oily skidpan, especially when you hit some weed and spin out I can barely imagine what 35 would feel like, let alone 40

Will try to get down there for sure. Sat up in Sydney waiting for some sort of front to hit last year and nothing showed for Al's or Foxies events.

It's got to be better this year so will make some more solid plans with some of our local guys.

Sam.
