Oh No, I just spotted the Handicap column, WTF is going on there?
Does that mean you are gunna start letting handicapped sailors enter.
Do I have to list my handicap?
Could get embarrassing for some

Handicap column is so that we can adjust things if something goes wrong.
Like last year, I hadn't planned on teams joining up after the start date. So there I am at corros, enjoying my sailing, only to get a message from hardie to say that the scoring for the challenge had all gone titsup.com. No internet access of course... after we figured out how to adjust the scoring using the handicap column everything was OK again.
When I got back to civilisation I fixed up the scoring algorithm for teams that join up after the start date, so it's not used much anymore.
The reason it's still there is so that if someone cheats then I can penalise their team.
Or at the end of the year I can give every other team a 500 point handicap and get that wonderful trophy all to myself... mwa ha HA HA HA HA HA
