Makes the top 5 interesting and very close![]()
Could always just harden up and sail more![]()
Yes, I know the irony of saying that to the distance master![]()

I've joked about dropping a month but just leave it as is ![]()
What about dropping the best month from the top 5 teams ![]()

Maybe the top teams should 'donate' their best month to another team... maybe to the team that is in 8th spot 11th at the moment ![]()
(sorry mineral1
)
All joking aside, I like it the way it is. When I see all the top teams it makes me want to push that little harder. Plus you try to rally the rest of the team so the points count. If we start dropping months etc then maybe people wont be as competitive?
As a Mandurah Blob it's a horrible idea, seems to affect us more than most, Kato's chart drops us from 2nd to 5th. (Although some may argue, that's where we belong.)
We're the tortoise team, slow and steady, our worst month (28) is the lowest there, that's how we were in 2nd, so we only lose by dropping it.
And the SRM still stay in 1st.
How would you go being FNQ team, they hold the lead for 95% of the month and a pressure front blows across the bottom of Aus and nails them from 1st too 5th in three days![]()

Being the team they are, bet they will congratulate the top crews in a blink![]()

I like the "Donate" idea and the drop the best mth for the top 5 is pretty good too. We need to work out a way of leveling out the wind /no wind situation for all the different states. Maybe double points for if you sail during your states "Autumn period" NSW has copped the no wind pretty bad this year and WA just gets lots. Lets all move to Hardies place and sail ![]()
"Na dropping the best month from the top teams was a joke "
I still like it.....and I need a new Carbon Boon,Ya need a few points![]()

The idea of leveling out the different locations so everyone has a fair chance of winning is a bit dodgy. The fact is some places in Australia are better for windsurfing than others. No point trying to escape that fact. Its not a competition where livelyhoods and houses are at stake. Its fun. So far no one from NSW has complained. We understand we are from the Premier State and Windsurfing is a hit and miss affair.
Its great the GTC shows where its good to go windsurfing. From the GTC I've learned that the windsurfing dream is to spend the warmer months in WA and the winter months in FNQ.
why try to fix it if it's not broken , if you really want to know who's the best ,national championship , ie speed week . some states have better more consistant wind they will allways have better results dosen't mean they are the best,. the way scores are worked out now gives you a good overview off sailors speeds & good places to sail.KEEP IT SIMPLE THEN EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS.
NSW will be back!
The cochroaches will be going to extreme lengths at the end of the month to get some wind. We're up and moving to Sandy Point for the best part of a fortnight to get some of the good stuff with Al.
Yes in WA it's not uncommon to travel 500km 1 K+ return to get a windsurf gfor a weekend perth to gero is very common, and perth to the G and the E are about 1000km, 2 K+ return, more for wavesailing, but same thing![]()
