Yawl !
So we sorted out the RS Racing 5.8 and possibly helped a fellow Cremaster with a mast for his KA's.
Now my last possible match up ( all other sails, Norths, have matching masts ) question relates to this RS4 7.8 on a Fiberspar QT6000 490 .
Set it to stated out haul but added 2cm downhaul .
Scary stuff this , gave the cremaster muscle a good workout using the rig winch, could have swore something was going to go SNAP !!!
Cams had loads of pressure on them and both cams immediatley above and below the boom wouldnt rotate with out being given a decent hit to get them round .
Anyway attached pics for those in the know to again provide fantastic and helpful advice. Sorry should have rotated the pictures so hope no necks get tweeked ![]()
Oh yeah bigger sail so had to get older child to downhaul this one ( dad joke )
Thanks again for all and any help .
Darty
is that neutral out haul (no tension on the rope just taking up the slack)
if it is then the leach looks pretty nice but the bottom looks flat again
Again, that rigs like a hard top to constant curve mast. Best to get a pryde mast or flex top equivalent.

Bottom batten definitely needs tension to get rid of the big crease, maybe the second and third up do too. So if it doesnt rotate now it wont when you tension out the creases.
Have you checked to see if there are spacers on the cams, if there are then try taking them off.
Have a 6.7 the same and had a fantastic 5.8 until I trashed it in a big crash.
You need lots and lots of downhaul on these old rs4's way more than you have rigged like really floppy all the way to the boom, what you really need some good formuline downhaul rope to get the extra you need and make sure it is threded up the correct way. and 0 to negative outhaul is the go as any positive just kills it..
Upgrade to Koncepts and you will never look back.
