I recently got a Patrik Speed 43 board and am trying to find a suitable board bag for it. Board dimensions 228 x 43 cm.

The closest bag I can find for it is Flying Objects 230 x 58 cm which is a lot wider.

Any suggestions for a better fit board bag? Or just put extra fill/packing in bag to stop loose board moving around?

Try a marine trimmer loft, take board and bag into shop, and let em know what your after. You can still get away with using same board bag and zips, I've converted a couple in my time, easy if you know what your doing.

I have a Creatures of Leisure surfboard bag for my 244 x 47cm Mistral, fits remarkably well.

Mine says its an 8' shortboard bag, they also do an 8' malibu bag, not sure which one would be narrower.

Bags take up room=less gear in van.
