Thanks for your encouragements - I have to confess it wasn't terrible conditions, hence the low speeds, but we are having fun just getting out there and giving it a go with the GPS. Our grand plan is to post each month which should mean we stay off the bottom and then when it warms up a bit we will get some of you serious speed boys to come and "tune" us to see if we can go faster!
I would like to see if anyone can post a slower speed/shorter sailing time after going to all the effort of rigging![]()

We sailed on the flat water side of Woodies and if we had been a bit earlier it would have been good - usual story. Lucky Nat had put an uphaul onto her rig that morning as she was further out when the wind just died.
