Well theres fat chance of me doing hardies run anytime soon unless the estuary floods, So where are the good speed strips that have at least some depth of water to sail in??

i can think of:
mellvile
point walter (still a few rocks)
the pond (kiter issues tho)
woodies (kiters again)

any other ideas?? i need to have a go at cracking the 30kt barrier that i cant seam to do on the wednesday night racing.

Dont be put off by the rock posts for Hardies.

There is a set of posts that most "sane" people can sail around.
Melville is just a dangerous on a low tide.

Just whatever you do, stay approx 100m outside of where Hardie is sailing

I regularly sail the edge of Hardies with a 36cm fin on Alex.

Hardies run is actually a reasonably wide strip of water,

I only ever sail the line Hard's did on a surge tide

Hardie, to think we put our trust and lives in your hands when we were over there in Jan!! Sorry to hear about your mishap.

btw Jo has nightmares about the crabs. Our cat bights her feet at night and she woke up convinced the Mandurah crabs had come to get her!!!

But we'll come back one day - maybe just stay upwind of the posts next time!

Just tell her to put some champers in her dirty great big trophy and dip her toes in it.

Thoughts of feral crabbies will all disappear
