I have posted up RealSpeed 1.926 to my website at http://www.intellimass.com/RealSpeed/Single.htm
It includes a number of fixes to the interface to make it easier to use including better interaction between the views. Now if you click on a result, RealSpeed can show that result highlighted in the map view, the speed graph and the trackpoints including the required zoom level. It did this before to some degree but is now much better, with the result trackpoints highlighted correctly and the result centred in the map view.
The startup speed is also improved. Previously the trackpoints grid needed to be filled before you could select or view anything. Now the trackpoint grid fills up in the background after the views are displayed. Also, the divisions window is visible on startup and RealSpeed does not try to calculate anything when a file is first selected or opened. This means you can have as many divisions as you wish without affecting how quickly a file will load. The division calculation will only happen when you select a division. You can still calculate all divisions by clicking on the Divisions heading in the Divisions tree.
The biggest improvement is the calculation of the 1hr and nautical mile which are both signficantly faster. In combination with the other user inteface improvements the "feel" of RealSpeed is very snappy.
If you already have RealSpeed then you do not need to register again. Just download the latest version (a self-extracting zip file) and extract the files onto your machine.
I hope you like the changes.

PS. The guys that have the betas should download the latest version. I fixed a problem in the printing and improved the trackpoint highlighting since the last beta. Thanks to all of you for your help.
Very fast! Nice. Just a quick question... which file is best to use (most accurate): GPX, NMEA or SBN ?
Wow Mal
Tis bloody brilliant mate
just tried it on one of my long sessions took a couple of seconds
Very nice, Thanks![]()

Good one Mal,
As you say, everything's MUCH!! faster,
all results are calculated when clicking on divisions.
Love the data highlighting when division result is selected, that really shows what's happening.
I have a request for next time you're tinkering, include total distance in the "export results" file if that's not a big job.
That would give all the GTC results on one page, without having to edit it later.
Did you all have to put in he 1 HR and NM divisions, or just me. I did but they wont calcualte, anyone else have the same prob or am i doing something wrong here.
I have found when I click on the 2 sec with some of my tracks RealSpeed closes. This doesn't happen with the other divisions.
I don't seem to be able to save files in the new version. I can use an older version ( 1.924) to combine files and save as gpx format, but in 1.926 I get an error message "there is no trackfile to save". Happy to be pointed in the right direction if it is user error.
Improved processing speed is a big plus!
Hmmmm... "Export track points" works perfectly for me.
I can't get it to fail.
No idea what you guys are doing but it's working for me... (and is blazingly fast on my steam-powered computer)
"export track points" works fine. I have been used to using "save as", which no longer works in the new version.
Thanks Nebs for the work around!
I finally got it to do the same thing on my machine. Thanks for the heads up. It seems to be a compiler problem that didn't involve a code change, just moving some functions from one place to another. A glitch in the optimiser maybe.
I'll post up a revised version 1.927 tonight. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Mal
New version is the jatz mate really good.
What are the green and black lines in the plot, are these track v Doppler?
I find that the min speed and some other values don't correlate to the actual recorded min speeds for the division you looking at.
Thanks Yoyo. Yep I found it and have fixed it (that was definitely a screw up on my part).
I also fixed a crash from Vando when calculating Alphas on a track that is out of time order (where do you get this stuff from Miichael...?). I think this has always been a problem but while we are fixing problems we might as well solve them all. A workaround is to sort the data first by using Edit/Sort Track Points. I fixed the crash but might also sort the data when loading the file to avoid strange results from showing up.
I'll post a fix for these and anything else that comes up over the weekend. It feels a bit like two steps fiorward and one step back at the moment, but we are nearly there.
Does the same on mine but it is different (and works)
Most likely slipped through to the keeper with Mal, rushing around trying to get it sorted quickly for us.
OK, another update a few more issues fixed. 1.928 is up on my site and includes better support for multiple files and fixes for the min and max speeds that Yoyo noted.
But I still cant find the 2 second crash that you mentioned Yoyo. If you could send that file with the problem it would be very helpful. Thanks.
