RIP Alva Dave
Gone but never forgotten.
David passed away on Friday night after a battle with cancer.
He was an incredible naturally talented sailor who touched so many with his kindness and generosity in the windsurfing/water sports community giving his time, assistance, advice, support and in some instances equipment.
Knowing Dave made me not just a better sailor but a better person, his loss will be felt deeply.
Love you always.

RIP Dave. So talented, I always remember him on the 89FF 7.0 just going nuts the only thing he struggled with was trying to come in, his power to weight ratio was amazing. Before my first trip to Burrum I asked for his advice he sat down in the sand drew pictures and spent so much time with me explaining all he knew about the place, which took a while. The first ever 40 at the train was from Alva Dave so impressive not forgotten.
Such sad news. So sorry for your loss Mirena. He was such a talented windsurfer always impressive to watch at Burrum. I'll remeber him as a kind gentle softly spoken
person who never had a bad word to say. One of the long time windsurfing legends who will be missed by many. RIP Dave
Dave was such a talented and gifted sportsman who also had amazing practical thinking and hands on trade skills. Despite always being one of the best in anything he did he stayed humble to the core and earned high respect from anyone who was lucky enough to know him on his life journey.
He will be sorely missed RIP Dave.
