Tried the Garmin Virb out today in the shallows of Primbee.

JBHIFI had them on a runout sale for $150. I couldn't knock that back...

The Garmin cameras have GPS functionality. Not 100% accurate but it's a good little effect. The GP Hero 5 has the same feature. Sucks the life out of the battery though...
