Well after the Storm 16/03/17 there is some rubbish that needs attending to. Some of us locals have rang our local council Wollongong City and have asked for some help in the clean up.
BUT THEY TURNED US DOWN BY SAYING ITS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITIE.
Some Pic's and be very mindful of going out!

that's the log in the background!!!

Terry had enough for 1 day . He was going to rest was his words!

Thanks Terry & Dan and to some of the other guys for cleaning some of the foreshore. Some big logs out there. We got what we could see popping out of the water, well they did look like little twigs till you got up close and personal.

1 out in the distance around 1meter diameter x 3meters long stuck to the bottom, I will put some makers around it tomorrow, might need a lumber jack to cut it out there. OR the kites can use it as there rail slider .

Also today the Illawarra Yatch Club windsurfing crew was clean as well. Still plenty of debris out there. Will we see what the Wollongong City Council will do next week and maybe we should organize a day to clean...
Windsurfing/Kiters enthusiast maybe we should get together next week and give a day to make safe where we play

Just back from a lunchtime SUP to Windang and back. Pulled out a few more mid-sized logs but nothing too serious. Also put a white marker buoy on the big tree trunk, in case it is ever submerged (looks unlikely).
Most of the other flotsam and weedbergs should clear up with the first westerly. The water has now cleared up and the strip is looking pretty good.

Awesome effort Mark , Terry and Detlev . Ive just finished raking up all the weed and sticks across the grass area so the council guy can mow there next time . Ill try and clean up near the boatramp next. I hope council will come past and clean up all the piles of rubbish soon

Take a bit of volume off the rails, flatten the tail rocker a smidge and I'm sure we could speed-sail that bugger....tandem!!!
