The wind gods left it to the last day to give us some wind. That sailing twice this month, a new record for us.Daffy joined me for the session as Matt and Shelby waited for the tide to drop, except when it did so did the wind. Fun day.[}:)]

So c'mon Kato.. spill the beans... you forgot to turn the GPS off until you got home, didn't you!

If you somehow managed to sail 174 km then that is a stupendous effort

Yeah but... 174 k's... no-one's cracked 100 before today, and many people (including myself) have tried.

Pity about both GPS's failing, I would have liked to have seen that track.

Whats really annoying is that I was aiming for a bit more ,but ran out of wind.Maybe next time when the wounds heal.

Well done Kat man

Tell me it ain't so, Surely you must be joking about dual GPS failures

That smacks of Big Tonies flying runs last year then losing his GPS in a stack

He dropped in to the beach about mid day for some lunch and a chat after(only)one hundred k's and there was a big peice of skin hanging off the inside of hand and plenty of claret.
Full marks for a punishing effort!

kato, you b*stard, I was hoping to be the first to crack the 100K's here
I'm sure I can do a 100 easily on a good day, but have missed my opportunities, been too crook to sail. But to do better than a 174, bugger you have raised the bar fairly high, that's going to be a hard target now.
I recently managed 80 odd K's in 3 hours, on a day of 12 to 15, so I know a 174 is quite feasable for sure. For interest kato, how many hours did it take.
Congats mate, well done

I,ve updated our sessions.Went round to a mates house and down loaded the Garmin. The Navi may have gone to God.Guess the distance was too much for it.FireBob, I started at about 8am had a rest for about 1/2 an hour and ran out of wind at about 3ish. I was hoping to do 200 but this will do.
