Massive winds 30 to 50kts, massive courage and Perths Best GPS windsurf speeds ever!

Some injuries too which is a bit sad, get well John Norton, (Recycle), he's on this list but has not posted yet Mike L (DEcrepit) also on crutches?

Slowboat CL 48.8 knots (49kt display) (second highest peak, and WA PB)

Just posted by John on GTC:

"Thanks again to the well wishers .Am currently in hospital for obseravation with 3 broken ribs ,perforated ear drum ,strained knee ligent, strained arm and lump on head should be out today fingers x's .Will definatley be investing in some PPE ie helmet and impact vest ,hope post later today ,got a 45.54 and a few 44's on the display and some 41-42 10sec so am pretty stoked despite the cost, the Loft 5.6 was awsome ,the F2 missile will probably be making way for a 47 wide blue thing.Big thanks to Crasher in particular and the others for there assistance. "

I think a special mention needs to go out to Crasher and Tomski, who gave up parts of their speed sailing session where they could have gone faster, to rescue John!

commiserations to those who crashed

as someone who has had a lot of trouble with broken ribs/strained chest/rib cartilage, I spent a bit of time finding a solution - this thing linked below slips under the wettie and doesn't take up water - had some big stacks but no problems since using this

shame it doesn't come in an extra large size - but the large is good for all but the biggest blokes

Oh, OK, it is!

Well you guys can get those cheesy grins off your faces about your grate spot and I'll play the game too.

PS. you guys really need to organize the digging of a canal at Shark Bay!

Unless you're a mining company in WA you cant touch the environment!!

I know a coupla spots at Shark bay where not only do you get the strong seabreeze effect, but it funnels through valleys, creating a venturi effect. No good for sailing because of mudflats, you have to walk you're gear in boggy mud, then the water is only cm's deep for ages but a canal would change the ball game
