How good is the feeling when you beat your previous pb's. Sunday was a great day when I went out at the Inverloch Windsurfing Club season opener and beat my pb's on 3 ocassions posting a better time each run.
Mind you it was nothing special as I had Kato buzzing around me doing 37 kts
but it has been over twelve months since I had bettered my 2 sec peak and I had not sailed for a month. When the first one came I looked down on the dial and started hooting and holering but when I finally got the last one at 29.97 peak (unconfirmed by realspeed as have had a computer melt down) I thought it was bragging time for the old salt. These GPS fellows are a hard lot because they did not welcome me into the 30 kt club and said I had to HTFU and get back out there. This old salt was stuffed and crawled away mumbling something about sabotage to Kato's fin the next time I see him.
Anyway I just wondered whether everyone else felt the same when they beat their pb's
Doug, you could always try uploading through Ka72.com to check and post your data.
Congrats on a great speed there mate!
Hey Jerry the board felt pretty sweet from the time I stepped onto it. Just need to look at fins as it only came with a freeride 38. Could have done with a MFC 36 cm on Sunday. Drift had one but having too much fun on the water.
Spotty - yep know the feeling the pb's came with a bit of pain - smashed my knee in the process.
Evan - thanks for the encouragement and I might have to give KA72 a try.
However back on topic, am I the only crazy one
that jumps up and down and smashes the water when they get a pb?
My version is the nebbian dance, rarely seen but I'm assured it's a sight to behold ![]()
I would like to see that - Anything like the chicken dance![]()
