Hi guys and girls. I am a 51 yo with close to 40 years of windsurfing experience. I don't know why but all of a sudden after years of sailing purely for pleasure I have got a bit competitive. This year I competed in the Patrik slalom series, the first racing I have ever done and came third overall. Had the big guns turned up to every round I probably would have been about tenth or there abouts.
I recently got my first gps and I'm enjoying trying to beat my pbs. That's ok but would probably be more enjoyable with a bit of friendly rivalry with a few team mates.
I am looking to do a lot more flat water sailing in the future to prolong my windsurfing career as the safety bay chop is taking its toll on my joints.
So if there's a team of old fella's that wants another old fella or a younger team that don't mind carrying my gear down to the beach for me, pm me with your contact details.
Thanks guys and girls

Being new to this I don't know what teams are around or how many can be in a team or how to join. You definitely have the local knowledge I need Ross

Thanks Elmo, Lunny tells me that I can stalk all the teams, when where and who on the site. Now I know who the teams are that should save me some time.
whoever takes me on may have to help with the tech side of things. I'm not a bad sailor but crap on computers.

No probs Roger.

It doesn't matter which team you end up with you'll find we'll all help out anyway.

There is no limit to team numbers
to join go to the GPSTC website, here's the link- gpsteamchallenge.com.au
and click "Register" in the top right hand corner (below username and password)
You may nominate a team you would like to join, or leave that part open so any team can sign you up.

Here's me coming in with my opinion. Mandurah of course is the home of the Mandurah Mob, (with one Rockingham member). Coastal speed team have a couple more Rockingham members than us.
It's best to join a team you'll be sailing with, if you intend to sail mostly in Mandurah, then the mob is happy to have you, (yes we are a mainly a bunch of old/er fellows). I can't answer for the CST, but they would probably accept you as well.
If you are going to sail mostly in Perth, then pick one of the Perth teams.

Thanks Decrepit, windxtacy and fangman have both given me some good info today on the teams. I will register with gpstc later and nominate Mandurah Mob as the team I want to join. I had already decided that on the basis I would be doing most of my flat water sailing down there. I have already met fangman and look forward to meeting some more of the mob maybe Sunday.
Thanks everyone who posted on here or pmd me for your guidance.
