Has anyone with the Motion wireless LCD version updated to the new firmware "Wireless LCD (3007) 26 July 2020"? Tried updating mine last night and can't get it to switch on again. I can start it in safe mode (holding down top button and middle bottom button together for 10 secs) where it turns on, in safe mode, and says return to previous firmware version by holding same buttons for 3 seconds, and get a Restarting message, but it doesn't restart or turn on I've emailed motion support but just wondering if anyone else already solved this
thanks
i think if yours is the same version i have from early this year i dont think it was able to be upgraded the new software is maybe for the current units hes doing .
i know with the small motions after updating the batteries went flat so had to be recharged , other wise i have no idea hopefully we get our replacement units soon
- Yes, the 25 or so Wireless LCD devices that fail due to the LCD aren't updatable. There's a big change between these and the new and there's no point supporting devices I'm replacing anyway.
- After a firmware update, both devices will restart on the new firmware so you can directly notice if things are fine. So you'll need to shut them down or the battery will drain.
Thanks Mark and Julien, have got it back to the previous firmware version that you sent me Julien, all good now.
I see there is now a version 3007 download for the logger... Has anyone updated to this from the 3006? Is it advisable to do or are there problems with this one?
It's an unimportant bugfix for log comments input filtering.
Thanks Julien.
Has anyone else experienced this... from a mate using 3007- "have you noticed that the small motion device only uploads to KA72 in km/hr?
I've confirmed the settings on the device as nautical miles / hour however it uploaded in km/hr."
No, logs are always millimeters per second. It's most likely something to change in KA72's settings.
