Following the HUGE success of the last 3 team weekends Hardie's called I've decided to go a different tack.

We have Green arrows forecast for the weekend.

So with this in mind this weekend The Mandurah mob is Planning the following group activities as the wind will not show up

  • Some early morning chores around the Garden to accumilate some brownie points
  • A mid morning Bike Ride
  • A picnic lunch
  • Bike ride home

For other teams looking optimistically at the graphs and thinking of the joys of Hardies Run and various other spots.

Don't Bother
It will be
Another
WAFTAM

If you come down, bring the Wife and kids, you'll earn good lovin from the Missus by having a Family day out.

be interesting to see if reverse psychology works on Huey. We're still waiting to try Bugs's 5.5 rehack in decent winds.

So where's the picnic??? Not too far away I hope, it's a bit awkward carrying the gear on our bikes.

I'm trying to save people driving to Mandurah for CRRAP conditions.

The Biggest Death knell would be a 20-30knots forecast every time for the past 3 months we have had one of those we have ended up with 5 knots on the water and one nitwit in the water.

Hate to tell you guys, but Green has been about 30 all day.
Troppo and I were going over, but called it off because we're a one man team at the moment
I must have been a real b*stard in my last life

The Bike tires are pumped.
The hamper is packed.

I've just got to do a couple of work emails and then my conscience will gladly step aside for my guilty little pleasures.

Rotnest has already had a gust to 45 and is currently sitting on 39-41knots

Manduraaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh is now at 21-28

It was sunny and blowing in the morning. By the time I got my stuff sorted and got down there it was pretty close to midday and cloudy but wind still good. Boy, that esturary water has a chill!! Did a couple of tentative runs to get my bearings (depth) and adjust the straps... then the wind drops .. then it rains ....

Did you get the morning wind Elmo? Is Queensland's current lofty position in the rankings about to get a severe shock?

We got some wind

It was very gusty though, so it was hard to set up correctly.

Still It wasn't to bad.

The steaming hot bath afterwards made it all the worthwhile

Apologies to all who came down yesterday

I feel realy bad that we ended up having such a horrible windy day making the bike ride and picnic unviable.

I trust you all managed to find some alternate entertainment
