I've see a few pics of the new Makani speed prototype, It's being tested now but I'm not sure when it's going into production. If it's like the rest of their fins It'll be awesome, Maybe a weed version as well.

Will it come with a powerbox fitting?

Do you think it is time you became a site sponsor if you are going to continually pimp your goods?

If they bring out a version around 35 to 40 degrees I'll try one.

I would like to see some good results from 'normal' size people under 80 KG!
That would really get my attention!

I wouldn't be all that keen if that logos on the blade?
If it like others it will prob stand proud and require sanding to get rid of.
Apart from that the profile looks nice, but that's only part of the story.
What does the section look like?

The section will probably vary fin from fin. That is why you call them proto. I tried a couple of the weed fins a little while ago. Average at best, I gave them away after 1 sail each.

The internal weight jacket is the way of the future

Some of us will never see the underside of 80 again

Yeah, what a dilemma! I went on a health kick last year and go fit. Also got down to 70 KG and my speeds dropped off alarmingly! I would have had to carry 10kg in my vest instead of the usual 4-5kg! Too much for a 60 YO backbone. Back up to nearly 75 KG and fat, happy and fast again. Still feel guilty every time I scoff another chocolate though.......

Ive got three of makinis weedys and a 46 slalom. For the middle to light weights i reckon these fins would kick arse, but at 100kgs they are way to soft. Although i dont get spin out, they flex of these babys is a little unpredictable and off putting. However they do seem fast.
