Hi All,
A quick question.
Is the BGT-11 any better than the GT-11 and are all the firmware upgrades OK for both models or only the GT-11?
Has anyone used the Bluetooth function and if so is this a battery burner?

Just spent a week in Gnaraloo running in a new JP SuperSport now I hope to get a bit quicker.

TIA

Not sure but my understanding is that the blue tooth function is the only difference, so firmware upgrades should work the same for both.

I believe bluetooth is not for uploading firmware or downloading data, so if it's for windsurfing there'd be no advantage in getting a BGT11 over a GT11.

Googled and got this,

"The Bluetooth unit only acts as a 'GPS Mouse' i.e. transmits live data to your laptop/PDA (e.g. sitting on
n the dash of your car whilst your PDA runs streetmapping software) which is a shame as a data-download function would be really useful."

I also understand, if you want the streetmapping feature, the GT-11 will do the same via USB

Cheers,
Bob.
