Today, on April 1, 2008 I broke the magical 45kt barrier (A personal one I know, but a barrier nonetheless).

It was a windy start to the morning, perhaps something to do with the curry I had last night. Got up early and looked at the water, conditions looked fantastic. I rigged up my RS5 11.6m and hit the water on my SB161. Perfect equipment for pushing the envelope.

A couple of easy runs to ease my failing body into it, then I went for it. Yep 45Kts, easy as pie. I could have pushed for the world record, but it was breakfast time.

When I woke up my wife reminded me it was April 1st. Damn you dreams - why do you torment me so.
