I'm really enjoying the GPS & team 'thingy"..Before I got the GPS my whole focus for a session was trying to plane out of gybes or at least do decent ones..I was getting a bit jaded. Now I find I'm focusing more on the overall sail although I'm taking more risks trying to get PB"s so I can see some nasty stacks coming up..![]()

Seeing everyones comments after their sessions is great! Its much more social seeing what others have been up to and being able to talk to everyone ( although I only found the session page today). Thanks everyone for your support!
Good one Sue.
The GPSTC makes windsurfing much more social which is one of the main aims of the the teams challenge. Its not so performance oriented as other GPS speed competitions and categories reflect this, rewarding consistency and participation just as much as the fastest speeds.

BSB: 087609 Acct: 988754378
All funds need to be deposited by 24th December 2013, as I take off for Lake George Boxing day (26th) Hopefully going back and forth between Sandy Point and Lake George till early to Mid Feb, and given I work for myself, thats no pay for 7 weeks, so all donations will help. Even small donations such as $500 will be welcome, Thanx in advance!!

Yes the social side is great and I like the way it measures many things . I think it will improve my sailing a lot.

Damn my payment of $3,000 failed to process because the BSB is incorrect. Was about to give it another go but the wife just had her haircut and bought some shoes so it's all gone now. Maybe next time.

For tomorrows question you should ask them about the 7th category of speed - KNOTS/KG
Its the best way for us 65kg sailors to compare our performance, pound for pound, with the big guys.
It also gives the little guys a reason to talk to the big guys,so a very social category.![]()
Your a great sailor Sue and you would be pleasantly surprised where you would rank in the
POWER/SKILL to WEIGHT RATIO category!
Daffy would win, fastest light guy around ,even without lead
Yeah I know.He is so good he is now tax deductable.

I filled my camel back right up on Friday when it was blowing 30kts + It added an extra 2kgs.... It worked great except one of the ties came loose and it was flapping around held by one corner so I had to come in and fix it..very off putting with it slapping on my back.![]()

A couple of times I've crashed with mine, and the bladder has come out, that feels very strange having this thing trailing behind you on it's plastic tube.

I wondered what would happen if it came off..

Sue I sail with a camel pak. I put it on first and then put my NP Windsurfing lifejacket/pfd over the top. Makes the PFD super snug and warm in these cold winds, and the camel pak doesnt bounce around at all that way - and in a stack the camel pack is protected underneath the life jacket so it doesnt move. Even with the camel pack full with 2L of water, I only had to loosen the jacket a little bit for the extra room required.

I have mine tied to the back of the NP buoyancy vest.It hasn't been a problem in the last 3 years .One of the ties came loose and I was slack and 'fixed' it on the water. I've done a better job now so hopefully it will be good again. I've had some good stacks and it's never come off!
The setup IS good in winter - keeps you much warmer than just a wetsuit..
