Very sad news. He was an asset to our sport and showed what the love of sailing was all about when he able to keep on sailing despite his ongoing health issues. Please pass on our condolences to the family.

Hoppy Bob was a true gentleman, a true inspiration who copped it left right and centre but keep trying. I remember seeing him try and sail with only one hip and felt the sorrow and frustration he felt when he realised windsurfing for him was over. But then he still went to the beach to watch and catch up, and give his mate Fred a few good tips. I was so happy to have him as a team member and will miss him more than he'd ever know, RIP Bob, Chris n Firie.

RIP Bob

Very sad news indeed. Enjoyed sailing with Bob both here at Lake Cootharaba and at Kurrimine. A great guy on and off the water. Will be sadly missed. RIP Bob.
