Na i think it's theres....Have you had a chance to get the medals and summer cup sent off yet Hardie??
Great work from the Cairns boys; Cam, Kel, Toody and Gaz who did a raid on Arlington reef (9km east of Green Island) and stole that Autumn Cup from under the TSS's noses.
Apologies for my hubris too ![]()
PS - Hardie, you had a chance to get those medals and Autumn Cup out to us yet? ![]()
Well done FNQ, we were worried that that might happen (big session from you guys on the last day of the month) and it did!!

Yesterday was a nice way to finish off what has been an awesome five months for me. I started off with a month and a half in WA, catching up and sailing with a lot of other GPSTC sailors as well as doing the LOC. After that I went to SA and Vic for a while before a quick run from Barmera to Burrum for some light wind grovelling before coming home to Cairns.
WA, what can you say but awesome. It was such a change to always have other sailors out with you and the social side of the sport in Perth is unique in Australia thanks to some dedicated sailors that put a huge effort into running Peli Point slalom as well as other events at the cost of missing out on sailing themselves. Huge thanks to Nilss for putting me up while I was there. Had a great time sailing with the Southsiders as well as other teams on the Swan.
Some other states could learn a lot from the way that WWA run.
Although there didn't seem to be as much wind down south as I remember for that time of year I still had some great sails.
Had two brilliant sails with Choco and Hamma at Lake George, not the numbers we were hoping for on the days but I still can't wait to get back there.
Some great sails with Jacques and Red while I was in Geelong. Not to sure about the mud they have to get through to get their numbers but still nice to sail with others that have the same interests.
Two nice cruisey days at Sandy. I'd forgotten how easy it is to go fast there. Can't wait to get back there with some good wind and a small speed board.
I finished my time down south with four days of sailing with Choco and Hamma in Barmera. Thanks to Choco and Jenny for everything, it's people like them that make the team challenge so special.
I would have liked to go to Tassie but the forecasts at the time weren't good enough to justify the cost. Maybe next time.
Commiserations to the TSS for this month, we know what it feels like![]()
A huge thanks to Hardie and Nebs for running the GPSTC. It has transformed the sport into something that is a lot more social than it used to be as well as being able to push yourself either individually or in a team situation as yesterday.
Thanks to everyone I caught up with on my trip for the hospitality that was shown. Catch you all next time or if you ever get up this way get in touch.
Congrats guys, very strategic last sail, well done.
Don't think I got to meet you down Mandurah way, but look out for us late next month, we're heading to the warm.
I was down for the hour challenge and one other day but I don't think you turned up on those days.
I will be back in Darwin for the next month, so no sailing until I get back here in June.
