Our glorious competition coordinator Hardie Softboy put out the invite last week.
"Come on down and soak up the magnificent Mandurah conditions" he said.
"It's world class down here" he claimed, "Never fails to go off!"
Big call, we thought, but he IS the guru, knows his stuff, local legend and all that.
Have a look at what he laid on for us ![]()

Thanks Elmo, that's what happens when you spend hours in the waves in subplanning conditions. You should come and join me more often. Your excuse of not being able to go slow was blown that day, you were chugging around as well as anybody!!!
I certainly fell in, but I don't think that was on a gybe, just when the wind stopped completely and I sunk.
That looks quite funnee, all kitted up and no wind to go![]()
I still say well done for making the effort and upholding the point of this challenge, sociality and fun.
You guys were goin orrrrf just there![]()
Cheers GT

I look forward to the day when its going off at 25-30knts and all the crew are there pushing each other to go faster and faster.
