Happy new year, its been the best year ever so far for windsurfing, long may it continue

Amazing speeds coming out of West Kirby!... Well done to all who scored PB's.
A bit strange that its gone a bit silent here ... I thought this would have set the forums alight with the speedies over here?![]()
Faaaaaaaaaaarrrrkkkkk!!!! I'm impressed. What a great drag strip too. We should request they lower the height of the Sydney airport runway, that should do it nicely. ![]()
I notice the speed police have not yet verified Thorpie's track - is there a problem with the track in Holland [with respect]??
There are a few tracks not verified yet, not just Steves. I have heard he did crash at 49knots on 1 run...I expect that hurt with all that weight.
amazing speeds
end if jou now dat day ar up en driving to de spot at 24 h en dan drove 800 km to get to the spot surf de hole day en drive back arive in de mornig in holand en dan go to work thad is adictid to speed
Yeh truly amazing speeds, I', on the limit of my abilities physical and psychological at 40kts, and the difference beween 38/39kts and a 40kt run seems exponentially huge, 51kts OMG![]()
Yes. Two GT-31's with latest firmware. There is a lot of 'static' in his tracks even though there were 9-10 satellites most of the time. Must have been the weather conditions?
His second best run was clean on both GPS and would probably be a UK 10 sec record if he claims it.
If I read it correct jacques vdh has done a 50.72 2sec today with a 47+ 5x10. Well done to all the guys on their amazing numbers and pb's. Looks like there maybe a bit of a break threw in the world of speed sailing in the last week or so. But let's not forget the efforts of the guys hitting 50's a few years back.
Sppeds have certainly gone up a notch, what will the average be to end up in the top ten of the GPS-SS rankings this year? And Jacques did his amazing speeds on a square course? How the hell do you do those sort of speeds running square?
