Very nice. Must get there some day.

Soundtrack reminded me straight away of the old Rushwind Video "Spread the Word".

Great stuff, but you need a bigger motor on the dinghy!

Has anybody tried piping the Hoodoo Gurus into their helmet? Have to be good for a knot or two.

Bob, is that reef he is skimming over in the first part of the vid, or seaweed?
Mentions high tide, so presume its reef. What type of clearance for the fins if its reef.
Need to work out how to get gear there for 2009

Seaweed ?, never heard of it, it's reef and plenty of clearance but we do pick the tide

Andrew-you cynical bastard !! In the earlier footage I'm using a 5.8 (wind around 30knots)-in the later footage over the Northern Run an 8.4-on the day we shot that footage there was only 15knots of wind -just like Sandy Point it doesnt always blow hard on green island.Check Bom.gov.au for stats & have a look at current wind forecast.(20-30knots all week)
The timing of Speed Week will correspond with the strongest winter winds & 4 superlow tides so the flat water/strong wind combination should be working ...
We'll endeavour to get some more footage next time the wind blows on a < .6m low tide.

Or a tow rope, There is a good spot to tie it on that dinghy

Looks a great spot, hope to get there for speedweek. Got to be better than dodging iceburgs in Tassie.

All you will need is gear, sunscreen, boardies, rashie, hat and a really great excuse as to why you never went home when you should have.
