Last session the watch lost connection to the phone and I couldn't get it to do anything. I had just come in to change boards and was 200m out again so I wasn't going back to the car.
I ended up powering it off and then restarting a session which got it going but I ended up with 2 files for the day.
I combined them using am internet program but apparently the export isn't approved by the GPSTC..I just retried it again in speed reader but the combined file is an exp.gpy which isn't approved??
Can I get an approved type format from the combined files to export from gpsspeedreader ? How to?
Also anyone have experience with getting out of the lost phone connection issue while out on the water? 🙄😡
I've manually entered the stats from gpsspeedreader so that's done but I'd like to know how to avoid the problem happening again. 🙄
I've had the same thing happen a few times and I think I just ignored the message and it kept logging. My Garmin battery went flat after I had a good 2 sec. Later I got a good 5x10 with the Motion. I'm pretty sure I couldn't combine two sessions from different devices with gpsspeedreader. I'm sure I have managed to combine two FIT files though.

I'll remember that next time and keep going.
My Motion had run out of battery so the watch was my last chance and I didn't want to risk losing the session. 🙂
Not that it's any help right now, but I've been working on a method to combine tracks with the new ka72 site.
