The watch tells me it's charged but next time I put it on the battery is down to 20%??
Anyone else had this issue?
I've just bought a new lead so that should ? Be ok..

Mine does the same, ---- sometimes! I've left it for 10days, turn on with charger, and it shows full charge, next morning put it on while rigging, by the time I'm on the water it's down to 20%. I suspect the battery, it's getting old now. But I don't want to spend money on this one, the buckle is broken and the adjust button rusted off. I'm just hoping Julien can start making big motions again. Other wise I may have to dust off the ancient mobile and use gpslogit for on water feedback

Mm could be. Mine works although it can be a bit cantankerous.
Is it easy to replace the battery and keep it waterproof?

Could be it's done irs last session..
I've always thought it was a stupid design in that you can't delete the last session unless it connects to the utility..

I'm sure you're wrong Sue, if you have an active adjust button, (I haven't so can't test the idea). There's a different method to reset the display and delete the log.

I've just found this in the manual.

To delete the internal data there's two steps. First go to GPS mode then hit adjust, select yes and hit adjust again. This deletes the log data and distance record.
Then hit start or reset to bring up the speed genie display, do the adjust delete sequence again to get rid of max and average records.

Yes, replacing battery is tricky, the buzzer is between the two halves of the case, and is easy to break a wire, (I've just left mine off, can't hear it anyway). The seal is a bit fiddly to get back on, And the soldering needs a fine iron a steady hand and good eyesight. But would be fairly easy, for a keen amateur, or say a phone repair tech.

I might get a quote from a phone repair guy to replace the battery.
Any idea what sort they use?

Somebody else has been through this, and it's hard to get the exact battery, but he came up with this one that fits

That's 602025 for the new. 552425 for the old.
The new is 6mm thick 20mm wide and 25mm long.
The old is 5.5mm thick 24mm wide and 25mm long.

Here's a quick search
