Using a Type C to USB 3.0 Cable Adapter USB C Male to USB 3.0 Female it should be possible to connect the smatphone to the gw-60.
Question is if it could be possible to upload the session through gp3s website.
How or where the smartphone will find the gw-60?

thx

Just checked and it possible with an iPhone 16, make sure to set the the GW-60 USB CLASS UMS , then start the connection procedure as usual ( select TO USB MSC , after that open your FILES App on your phone and you will see an additional location called LOCOSYS_MSC , when you open this you will see the GBSLOG.SBP , you can upload this by the regular procedure (->

Thx.
I wonder if something like that is going to happen with the Android OS...

Yes, with the GWG60 cable and a USB adapter. I have done it many Down loaf the GPS.LOG file, then delete to make space on the watch.

Bought the adapter and personally tested.
As Remery posted above, yes the combo works.
Not sexy as Garmin or Suunto or Coros smart apps but useful if you want to post quick with no pc around...

You can delete the gps.log file after each download (make sure you rename to be on the safe side), the file will recreate next session.

After the first and only time I was able to upload data to the site by connecting the gw60 to my android, now the operation seems to be no longer possible because the smartphone no longer "sees" the locosys. After connecting the 2 devices when the site asks me to choose the folder from which to upload the track I can no longer find any reference to the locosys. The phone also asks me to format the memory card...

Rob, no need to delete the log file to save space, the oldest memory is auto deleted, when new stuff comes in.
However deleting the file after posting, means you don't have to separate sessions next time.

I'm pretty sure you have to activate the mass storage connection on the watch each time while it is plugged in.

Worked on my Android 13 Tablet without much effort, wont work on my Android 14 phone though...not sure why. Easier to use the tablet to post to GP3S anyway.

Yeah, off course i select the mass storage connection (UMS) mode BEFORE watch and Android 15 are connected. (or to switch from COM to UMS is not allowed). Then i push the connection button and my phone Android 15 doesn't see the watch

USB CLASS UMS has to be selected prior to connecting the cable, TO USB MSC pressed while the cable is connected.

I just tested mine and I had to remove the phone protector to get the USB-A to USB-C adapter to fully insert.

after completing the connection procedure, the smartphone asks me to format the SD card for portable storage - If someone could explain to me why and how to proceed, I would be grateful

Got it to work an my Samsung Android 14 phone, didn't ask me to format any SD card. Your phone may ask that if it is transferring the file to the SD card on your phone.

It seems that after the first attempt (which was perfectly successful), I can no longer find a way to download the track from the gw60 to the gp3s site.
I first select UMS; then I connect the cable to my phone (using the appropriate adapter, which is perfectly inserted); I initiate the TO USB MSC connection; I select upload track from the site;
When I need to choose the file to upload and click "choose file," I have three options: two for camera (obviously useless for this purpose) and one for "photo.video."
Selecting the latter (the only option available to access the menu), I no longer find (unlike the first successful attempt) any reference to Locosys.
What should I do at this point? What should I look for and/or how to proceed?

Thanks

Just performed a test using a different (older Samsung) smartphone. It works as the Locosys appears on the menu.
In my current phone (Xiaomi) the Locosys never appears on the menu. I've tried anything but I cannot find it. Help please!
