Has anyone else noticed the speed you move down each of the GTC rankings when your own speeds are not changing (or only improving slowly). The rate of change of many others is incredible.
Are people getting better really quickly? (I know I am slowly improving due to the hugely increased time I spend on the water as I am motivated by my friends and the GTC)
Are there more and more good sailors joining?
Is there going to be a surge of pbs in WA this summer as the strong seabreezes blow us westerners to new speeds?![]()
Whatever the reasons I hope to be out there slowly improving my sailing and therefore at least marking time in the rankings! I shall keep running to try to stand still![]()
I know what you mean Evets. Even on a team basis we keep improving and so does everybody else. It is amazing the level of competition in recent months.
Individually on the rankings I've been going backwards steadily, shows you the standard of sailing Australia wide!
I've gone so far backwards I've disappeared up my own ![]()

guess thats the problem with my 20/20 rule (20 knots of wind and 20 degree weather, or greater) ![]()
I signed up a friend who is faster than me (not that hard) but we are on the same team so its good. We should be able to sail a bit together over summer and both improve, as long as we get some breeze.
